On July 16, 2020, our firm filed a second Complaint (2:20-cv-01067) against Pittsburgh Logistics Systems Incorporated (PLS Logistics). The Complaint alleges that PLS Logistics unfairly denied overtime payments to its Account Executive Trainees. Plaintiffs filed their Complaint on behalf of themselves and other “similarly situated” employees who worked as Account Executive Trainees for PLS Logistics within the past three (3) years.
The Complaint alleges that PLS Logistics misclassified its Account Executive Trainees as exempt from overtime and paid them a salary rather than an hourly wage, despite the fact that Plaintiffs and other Account Executive Trainees did not satisfy any of the exemptions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”). Our firm is seeking to recover unpaid overtime wages for each week that an Account Executive Trainee worked over forty (40) hours and was denied overtime wages. Our firm also seeks to recover liquidated (double) damages and other statutorily-permitted relief for these employees.
