Teresa Epps Cummings received her bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from Stevenson University. She received her juris doctorate degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law and was admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland in 2003.
Teresa has been involved in asbestos litigation since 1995, having worked as a paralegal for another plaintiffs’ asbestos litigation firm while furthering her education. Since being admitted to the bar, she has been involved with asbestos mass tort litigation. As an attorney at the Law Offices of Peter T. Nicholl she handles all aspects of preparing cases to be litigated, settled or arbitrated against companies who either installed, manufactured or sold, asbestos containing products to the detriment of our clients.
Teresa is very active in her community and has served as president of the Alliance of Black Women Attorneys. She previously served as co-chairman of the Bar Association of Baltimore City’s (BABC) Pro-Bono & Access to Legal Services committee. She has also been a speaker at the Plaintiffs’ Asbestos Litigation Seminar in both 2014 and 2015. Currently, she serves as the vice-chairman of the Monumental City Bar Foundation, was appointed to the BABC’s judicial selections committee and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
